Turkic States and Territories

They are Asian; the territories they possess are huge; very few of them are Christains; they have been no friend of Christendom, European or otherwise.
But tomorrow is another day, and conversion is possible. Is the conversion to Christianity of Muslims, the transformation of enemies into brothers, likely?

Islam is apparently unconvertible. The missionary efforts made by great Catholic orders which have been occupied in trying to turn Mohammedans into Christians for nearly 400 years have everywhere wholly failed. We have in some places driven the Mohammedan master out and freed his Christian subjects from Mohammedan control, but we have had hardly any effect in converting individual Mohammedans save perhaps to some small amount in Southern Spain 500 years ago; and even so that was rather an example of political than of religious change. ... [Islam] still converts pagan savages wholesale. It even attracts from time to time some European eccentric, who joins its body. But the Mohammedan never becomes a Catholic. No fragment of Islam ever abandons its sacred book, its code of morals, its organized system of prayer, its simple doctrine.   conversion of prince chet to Christian Zachariah
  Hilaire Belloc, The Great Heresies (1936)     ... Well actually, sometimes he does, as with the
conversion in 1330 of Tartar Prince (Murza) Chet to Orthodox Christian Zachariah,
later founder of Holy Trinity Ipatiev Monastery, Kostroma. Apologies to Mr. Belloc,
though his point is still correct in the vast majority of cases.

Asia Minor

    Pius PP. IIPope Pius II (* 18 October 1405 r. 19 August 1458 – 14 August 1464 †)

  WHITE founts falling in the Courts of the sun,
And the Soldan of Byzantium is smiling as they run;
There is laughter like the fountains in that face of all men feared,
It stirs the forest darkness, the darkness of his beard;
It curls the blood-red crescent, the crescent of his lips;
For the inmost sea of all the earth is shaken with his ships.
They have dared the white republics up the capes of Italy,
They have dashed the Adriatic round the Lion of the Sea,
And the Pope has cast his arms abroad for agony and loss,
And called the kings of Christendom for swords about the Cross.
The cold queen of England is looking in the glass;
The shadow of the Valois is yawning at the Mass;
From evening isles fantastical rings faint the Spanish gun,
And the Lord upon the Golden Horn is laughing in the sun.
    G.K. Chesterton, from his poem Lepanto

  They [the Mongols] attacked Russia, where they made great havoc, destroying cities and fortresses and slaughtering men; and they laid siege to Kiev, the capital of Russia; after they had besieged the city for a long time, they took it and put the inhabitants to death. When we were journeying through that land we came across countless skulls and bones of dead men lying about on the ground. Kiev had been a very large and thickly populated town, but now it has been reduced almost to nothing, for there are at the present time scarce two hundred houses there and the inhabitants are kept in complete slavery. Going on from there, fighting as they went, the Tartars destroyed the whole of Russia. When the inhabitants of Kiev became aware of our arrival, they all came to meet us rejoicing and they congratulated us as if we were risen from the dead. We met with the same reception throughout the whole of Poland, Bohemia and Russia. Daniel [Prince of Galicia] and his brother Vasilko [Prince of Volynia] made a great feast for us and kept us, against our will, for quite eight days. In the meantime they discussed between themselves and with the bishop and other worthy men the matter about which we had spoken to them when we were setting out for the Tartars. They answered us jointly declaring that they wished to have the Lord Pope as their special lord and father, and the Holy Roman Church as their lady and mistress, and they also confirmed everything which they had previously despatched by their abbot concerning this matter. In addition they sent with us a letter and envoys.

Giovanni de Plano Carpini, OFM, envoy of Pope Innocent IV to the Mongol khan, writing in 1246, an eyewitness account of the horrors still visible six years after the not-yet-Muslim Mongolian destruction of Kievan Rus'.

All countries have had their monsters. Few still count them as their civilization's first son eight centuries on.

  “The greatest joy a man can have is victory: to conquer one's enemy's armies, to pursue them, to deprive them of their possessions, to reduce their families to tears, to ride their horses, and to ravish their wives and daughters."
    Genghis Khan – really Chinggis Khagan – (c. 1162 – 1227)

Consideration could begin to be given to granting the nation-state of Turkey full membership in United European Christendom at the point in time when 90 percent of its population has been Christian for four generations. Until that time, forget Turkish UEC or EU membership.

Still, it speaks volumes that this could even have been seriously discussed over these past many years. This circumstance well illustrates how far so many members and especially political leaders within (presently dis-United) European Christendom have fallen. Because Turks within UEC constituent countries nearly invariably vote for candidates from the "liberal" political parties of these countries - most prominently the SPD within Germany - these "leaders" would sell thousands of years of civilizational accomplishments and our Christian integrity, or what little of it remains, in exchange for their own transitory political advantage!

The red-colored provinces in eastern Asia Minor pictured on the map above are those regions in which the Armenian Christians predominately resided before the Turks burned, raped, shot and starved 1,500,000 of these Christians to death during the Armenian Genocide, conventionally dated to have begun on 24 April 1915, in fact occurring from 1914 through 1918.

The red-colored area in pictured western Asia Minor is that portion of the current nation-state of Turkey which lies geographically within what has come to be defined as the continent of Europe. The fact that the Turks invaded and conquered this region and its Christian people -- the capital of the Christian Eastern Roman Empire, Constantinople, having fallen to the Muslim Turks in 1453 due to Christian disunity -- now supplies the grounds and justification for the Turks and the European "liberals" advocating for Turkish membership in the European Union. At the signing of the Ankara Agreement on 12 September 1963 the population of Turkey was less than 31,000,000. The CIA Factbook estimates the July 2011 population of Turkey at 78,785,548. So if their agenda succeeds, and presently it is succeeding, what is soon to be 100,000,000 Turks can immigrate into the already morally and demographically enfeebled countries of western Europe, and the Turks and Muslims generally can achieve through demographic replacement what they were not able to achieve through war and extermination of European Christians 280 years earlier at the walls of Vienna.

Other events of recent history which highlight the absurdity of even discussing Turkish admission to even the European Union include:

  • The Asia Minor Catastrophe / Μικρασιατική καταστροφή - the ethnic cleansing of 1,500,000 Greek Christians, countless of which died during the process, from the nation-state of Turkey — that is from their ancient ancestral homelands, as Asia Minor was Greek before the Turkic invasions — during the period from 1912 through 1923, corresponding to the Balkan Wars, World War I, and the Turkish War of Independence, and then receiving the "ratification of law" by the 1923 population exchange agreement between Greece and Turkey signed by the Greek and Turkish governments in Lausanne, Switzerland on 30 January 1923 (500,000 Turks were also required to leave Greece at this time, although in a much more humane way; in 2012 there are at least 100,000 Turks still in Greece, while there are less than 2500 Greeks left in historically Greek Asia Minor);
  • The Assyrian Genocide - Qetlād-'Amā Ātûrāyā (ܩܛܠܐ ܕܥܡܐ ܐܬܘܪܝܐ) the "killing of the Assyrian people" -- the murder through shooting, burning and starvation of 500,000 to 750,000 Assyrian/Syriac/Chaldean- Christians by the Turkish and Kurdish forces from 1914 through 1920; and note -- in a move of inexplicable idiocy the atheist European leadership, especially German, have invited as permanent immigrants into the territories of UEC Kurds by the hundreds of thousands over the past two decades;
  • The Istambul Pogrom / Σεπτεμβριανά of 1955;
  • The closing in 1971 of the Eastern Orthodox Church's Halki seminary (Theological School of Halki / Θεολογική Σχολή Χάλκης) by the Turkish government. In November 2007 they also demolished the Church of Our Lord's Transfiguration (17th Century) at the Halki Seminary. (Note also, the Ecumenical Patriarch's stated public support for Turkey's admission to the European Union must be understood in this context. They are 2500 against 74 million and barely allowed to survive. What else could he say? And recall also that the next Ecumenical Patriarch -- the highest honored bishop among all the Orthodox Churches of the world -- must be drawn from among these 2500 people, half of whom are women, with other vocations);
  • The Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 and the continuing occupation by the Turks of the northern third of the island. (Cyprus would have been entirely back in Christian hands long ago but for British interference in 1878 on the side of the Turks! In the second half of the 20th Century, during the reign of Elizabeth II, the British colonial power used Turkish police to battle the Greek Christians in order to maintain the British overlordship of Cyprus.);
  • In 2015 the nation-state of Turkey is providing military and other support to ISIS, the Turks are allies of ISIS and other terrorist groups, a.k.a., ordinary Muslims, such as Ahrar al-Sham and Jabhat al-Nusra.

Unless the above stated conversion comes to pass, Turkey should be permanently excluded from membership in United European Christendom. And none of its people whatsoever should be permitted to immigrate into any of the territories of European Christendom. These are not the case because of Turkish violations of human rights or because of Turkey's flawed constitution or because of Turkey's absurd law (which actually continues to be enforced in the 21st Century), the famed Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code, which makes it a crime punishable by years of imprisonment for "a person who publicly denigrates Turkishness". The real reason is that Turks are not Christian and they are not European. The leaders within even pre-United European Christendom should have the courage to state this plainly and publicly, or they should not be leaders. The Turkic people have taken quite enough from European Christains and from European Christendom.

Note: On 12 September 1963 - the atheist leaders of the predecessor of the European Union, the European Economic Community, and the Muslim Turks signed the Ankara Agreement, initiating a multi-staged process of customs union, economic integration and EEC-to-Turkey economic assistance, with the ultimate goal of Turkish membership in the EEC, that is the European Union. A curious "coincidence" attempting to undo the Polish victory over the invading Turks at the walls of Vienna on 12 September 1683.

Portrait in the Hermitage of Grand Dukes Alexander Pavlovich and Constantine Pavlovich
Портрет в Эрмитаже великих князей Александра Павловича и Константина Павловича, 1781 Ричард Бромптон — Portrait in the Hermitage of Grand Dukes Alexander Pavlovich and Constantine Pavlovich, 1781 by Richard Brompton. In many ways one of the more interesting works in the Hermitage Museum. Both these sons of Grand Duke, later Tsar, Pavel were named, not by Pavel but by his mother and their grandmother, Catherine II (the Great) of Russia. Though there is much to despise in the rule and reign of "the great" Catherine — not least her worsening of the lot of the great bulk of the population, the serfs, in part through her gifting of these "baptized chattels" in the tens-of-thousands to her lovers — she was indeed capable of greatness, and no where more so than in her accepting the plan of Prince Grigory Potemkin, the Греческий Проект – Greek Project, to take back lands murderously stolen by the Muslim Turks from Christendom, partitioning the Ottoman Empire between the Hapsburg Empire and her own Russian Empire. Pictured here as a two-year-old boy beside his four-year old brother Alexander, the future Alexander I of Russia (r. 1801 - 1825), Catherine's second grandson was named Constantine, after Constantine the Great – Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus Augustus – Κωνσταντίνος ὁ Μέγας (272 - 337), in the hope that he would reign in the restored Christian Byzantine Empire and it its capital of Constantinople. The symbolism in the painting is unmistakable.

The Sultan's letter to the Cossacks:
  As the Sultan; son of Muhammad; brother of the Sun and Moon; grandson and viceroy of God; ruler of the kingdoms of Macedonia, Babylon, Jerusalem, Upper and Lower Egypt; emperor of emperors; sovereign of sovereigns; extraordinary knight, never defeated; steadfast guardian of the tomb of Jesus Christ; trustee chosen by God himself; the hope and comfort of Muslims; confounder and great defender of Christians—I command you, the Zaporozhian Cossacks, to submit to me voluntarily and without any resistance, and to desist from troubling me with your attacks.
—Turkish Sultan Mehmed IV
The Ukrainian-Russian-Polish Cossacks reply to the Turkish Sultan:

Zaporozhian Cossacks to the Turkish Sultan!

Thou art a turkish imp, the damned devil's brother and friend, and a secretary to Lucifer himself. What the devil kind of knight art thou that cannot slay a hedgehog with your naked arse? The devil sh**s, and your army eats. Thou son of a bitch wilt not ever make subjects of Christian sons; we have no fear of your army, by land and by sea we will battle with thee, f**k thy mother.

Thou art the Babylonian scullion, Macedonian wheelwright, brewer of Jerusalem, goat-f****r of Alexandria, swineherd of Greater and Lesser Egypt, Armenian pig, Podolian villain, catamite of Tartary, hangman of Kamyanets, and fool of all the world and underworld, a fool before our God, a grandson of the Serpent, and the crick in our d**k. Pig's snout, mare's arse, slaughterhouse cur, unchristened brow, ***** thine own mother!

So the Zaporozhians declare, you lowlife. Thou wilt not even be herding Christian pigs. Now we shall conclude, for we don't know the date and don't have a calendar; the moon's in the sky, the year in the book, the day's the same over here as it is over there; for this kiss our arse!
